Connecting children to nature with a Montessori curriculum

Located on two acres in Round Rock, Acres Grove Nature School aims to serve all families in the North Austin community.

Our Philosophy

We believe in a deeply respectful, Montessori-inspired approach to child development, guiding children from infancy through the elementary years. Our guides thoughtfully prepare environments that nurture independence, curiosity, and a true sense of belonging.

Rooted in both Montessori philosophy and nature-based learning, we honor the development of the whole child-cognitive, physical, social, and emotional. Through hands-on exploration, meaningful work, and daily connection to the natural world, children grow in confidence, self-awareness, and a genuine love of learning.

Our guides model calm, intentional communication, offering support when needed and stepping back to allow children the space to try, problem-solve, and grow independently.

  • Low guide-to-child ratios that allow for individualized care and meaningful connection

  • A Montessori curriculum thoughtfully woven with nature-based, experiential learning

  • Peaceful, prepared environments that support independence and emotional regulation

  • Over 50 oak trees across 2 acres, offering children daily immersion in nature

  • Family-owned and intentionally rooted in community, connection, and care

The Acres Grove difference…

“Nature is a tool to get children to experience not just the wider world, but themselves.”
